Toolkit Tuesdays are mini-workshops and presentations with prominent innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders designed to help you develop tools for building entrepreneurial thinking, social innovation and startups.
Light refreshments will be served.
Nailing Your Pitch on the First Try
This session is for current students and recent graduates who are thinking of becoming an Entrepreneur.
The intent is for aspiring Entrepreneurs to understand the best practices of effective pitches and popular pitch formats as well as see some before and after examples.
By the end of this session, you'll know how to become a rockstar at pitching your idea to almost anyone. The presentation lasts about 45 minutes and there will be time at the end of the presentation for questions.
Presented by Craig Elias, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Bow Valley College
Craig Elias is an award-winning entrepreneur, author and a sought-after pitch coach. His first pitch won him a $1,000,000 prize in a Global Billion Dollar Idea competition and within 12 months his company was twice named by Dow Jones as one of the 50 most promising companies in North America. Craig is an advisor to the founder of a company that was sold to Oracle for $957 Million, a mentor for the GrowthX Academy in San Francisco, and a pitch coach for numerous pitch competitions and incubators. He is currently the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Bow Valley College in downtown Calgary and runs three different student pitch competitions - VentureQuest, Inventure$ and 150 Startups.
