Which Class Should I Take?

Team leader, Scrum master, team member: 1-day Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP). Improve team transparency, balance and collaboration.

Managers with responsibility for delivery of products and services to customers: Team-level agenda (Team and DYI Kanban) is rarely the answer to your business' challenges. Therefore, start with the 2-day Kanban System Design (KMP I) class. Apply Kanban to improve customer satisfaction and business agility. Feel free to bring along key team leads and senior individuals who can help you implement Kanban's service-orientation agenda.

Managers with experience applying Kanban who want to apply it throughout their company or business unit and achieve more with Kanban: 2-day Kanban Management Professional (KMP II) class.

Improvement consultants and coaches: KMP I and II, during the same week or with a gap. Your clients want business results, not team boards. Give better advice, avoid bad advice.

Professional development: Take KMP I. Increase your skill set in managing the flow of work. Consider taking KMP II after you've had an opportunity to practice what you learned in KMP I.

Looking for Kanban certification: Lean Kanban University (LKU) awards TKP credential for completing the 1-day TKP class, KMP credential for completing both KMP I and II classes (4 days of training). But, seriously, no employer or recruiter uses these acronyms as filters.

Not sure which class is right: Send us a message via this form and tell a bit about yourself and your current situation.

Who Is Teaching?

Alexei Zheglov, a Kanban Coaching Professional (KCP) and accredited trainer (AKT), first one in Central Canada, a long-time user, teacher and contributor to Kanban and Enterprise Services Planning (ESP), co-author of the new book "Fit-for-Purpose: How Modern Businesses Find, Satisfy & Keep Customers."

All classes are certified by Lean Kanban University (LKU), the authority and the home of the Kanban method. All successful participants will receive certificates of class completion. LKU awards an entry-level Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) credential to those who completed the TKP class. It awards a more substantial Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential to those who completed both KMP I and II classes. You don't have to take them during the same week. Taking a break to practice what you learned is even recommended in many cases.

The venue will be downtown, near Union Station. We've used Le Germain Maple Leaf Square and Novotel Toronto Centre in the past.

  • Substitutions of participants are allowed anytime until the start of the class
  • Refunds are provided as follows: 35 days or more, 100%; 15 days or more, 50%
  • The organizer reserves the right to cancel classes if registrations are insufficient

You can select the desired combination of tickets to the TKP, KMP I and II classes below. You can also register on our website.
