Toronto Lit Up: Kim Moritsugu
Event Information
Description
IFOA and Dundurn Press invite you to celebrate the release of The Showrunner – a darkly humourous, Hollywood-noir novel about three strong-willed women who work in the TV business – as part of the Toronto Lit Up book launch series.
“The Showrunner has all the drama of All About Eve and the attention to detail of The Devil Wears Prada. Moritsugu nails the California sun-drenched anorexic ethos. She rivals Nathanael West’s fabulous descriptions of Hollywood where the hopefuls become twisted by their
own ambitions.” – Catherine Gildiner, bestselling author of Too Close to the Falls and Coming Ashore
Join us at Ben McNally Books to meet the author, toast the book’s publication, and see a TV-show-style table read of scenes from the novel, staged with the assistance of the Humber School of Creative & Performing Arts.
This event is supported in part by the Toronto Arts Council. For more Toronto Lit Up events visit ifoa.org.
