The Trans* Pride Community Fair is a space for trans*-specific organizations and groups, particularly grassroots organizations, to exhibit the work they do. This fair is a new event, being put on for the first time this year on the Friday of Pride Week, June 26th. The intent is that trans*-focused groups with a lower budget, for whom entrance into Pride Streetfair may be prohibitive, will now be able to get a space to present.
And, not only that, as the main Pride Streetfair does not begin until 7pm in the evening, several hours after the 2pm start of the Trans* Community Fair, for most of June 26th we will be the only show in town!
Organizations that are not trans*-specific, but which have trans* programs or projects, are welcome to apply as well, but inclusion will be at the discretion of the Trans* Pride team. Applying does not guarantee a spot. Space is limited, so preference will be given to Trans*-specific grassroots organizations.
The planned timeline for the Trans* Pride Community Fair is to begin setup in Norman Jewison park at 1pm, aiming for a start time of 2pm. The fair will run until 7pm, at which time the Trans* Pride March and Rally will commence. Take down will be complete by 9pm.

Trans* Pride Toronto
Trans* Pride is a volunteer team working within Pride Toronto whose goal is to promote trans* education and awareness, within Pride Toronto events and beyond. Trans* Pride represents any person within the trans* spectrum, which refers to anyone whose gender identities do not match the bodies they were born with.
Pride Toronto's trans* community spaces help promote trans positive grass-roots programs, as well as educational outreach activities to increase awareness on trans* related topics.
The Trans* Pride Rally, Trans* Pride March, Trans* Space, and Trans* Community Fair are currently organized by a team of dedicated trans* volunteers from the trans* communities in Toronto and is greatly supported by cisgender allies. Trans* Pride is always looking for new volunteers. To volunteer for Trans* Pride, please visit makepridehappen.com and mention "Trans* Pride" in your application.
