Help make a greater impact in your early board career by attending the Compensation Governance workshop presented by Global Governance Advisors. Balancing a successful board career and becoming an accredited director is your first step in improving your board resume for getting nominated to a board of directors. Attending the Human Resource Compensation Committee (HRCC) introductory Compensation Governance workshop will help improve your effectiveness as a newly appointed director. The content of this workshop reflects and aligns to today’s leading practices found within a company’s HRCC Charter and the current regulatory environment.

  • Understand all current aspects of the HRCC's governance process
  • Learn the fundamentals of total executive compensation design in the market today
  • Be equipped to manage the process of hiring your Board’s independent advisor
  • Improve your effectiveness among your peers by understanding important questions to identify when reviewing executive and director compensation
  • Understand today’s regulatory environment with respect to compensation and disclosure
  • Learn about today’s leading practices in CEO succession planning
  • Obtain reference material that will provide useful reminders and guidance throughout the annual HRCC governance cycle

Paul GryglewiczAs a key member of his firm’s senior leadership team, Paul’s work incorporates leading edge governance practices, mitigates risk and educates key stakeholders on sophisticated compensation systems. He engages with boards and senior management advising them in the areas of executive compensation, human resource strategy and corporate governance. 

Previously he was an associate consultant with one of Canada’s largest independent compensation advisory firms, focused on strategic compensation review and design for a variety of organizations across Canada.  

As an instructor at York University, Paul co-designed and teaches the graduate level course “Governance of Executive Compensation and Shareholder Accountability”. He is also an active speaker for professional associations presenting on a wide array of executive compensation and governance related topics.
