Want to teach the Lifesaving Society's Instructor courses? Become a Trainer!

The Trainer course prepares candidates to assume leadership roles as Lifesaving Society Trainers. Candidates develop Level 4 Competencies throughout the course and post-course apprenticeships.

Course Sessions

Thursday, April 27 - 4:00-7:00pm - Course orientation on Zoom

Fri/Sat/Sun, May 5-7 - 9:00-6:00pm - In person

Course Pre-Requisites:

- In good standing with the Branch

- Successful Application to kylek@lifesaving.bc.ca

- Recommended 18 years old

- Teaching experience as an Instructor, examples include:

- Current Swim Instructor with 2 years of teaching experience

- Current LSI & taught 4-6 Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross courses

- Current FAI & taught 4-6 Standard First Aid courses

Participants interested in becoming a National Lifeguard Trainer will need to first complete the Lifesaving Trainer designation and teach at least two LSI courses prior to applying.
