Transition to Employment

Join Sarah Southy, MSW, RSW and Kerry Maisels, M.Ed., BCBA of Monarch House to learn how to transition to employment. This workshop includes practical strategies geared toward adolescents and young adults with High Functioning Autism preparing for employment or volunteer work including: how to get started on identifying skills/interests, establishing regular routines, and where to job search. Disclosure, and being social at work are also covered. This workshop provides helpful tips for those transitioning to/from post-secondary and discussion about local resources will occur. Parents are encouraged to attend with their adolescent.
