About this Event
About this Educational Workshop:
Trauma and Eating Disorders is an introduction to how past experiences can or have led to life challenges or traumatic experiences, leading to symptoms related to disorders. We’ll explore connecting some of the dots behind challenges and traumatic experiences to eating disorders. We will finish with an understanding of the root cause of these injuries and ways of working through in your journey to mental wellness.
This educational workshop will cover:
- How we process experiences
- Life Challenges
- Adverse Childhood Experiences and Eating Disorders
- Getting to the Root cause
- Working through Trauma related Eating Disorders
- Questions
This group is education based and not a therapy group.
The content and discussion in this webinar will necessarily engage with the understanding of trauma. Some of the information in the intro may be triggering to some who have not worked on past adverse or traumatic experiences, however, the facilitator will flag specific content that may trigger individuals and will do their best to make this workshop a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically and thoughtfully with difficult content.
