Event Details

This event will shed light on the importance of being trauma-informed at the individual, agency, and system levels. The day will support interactive dialogue on how trauma-informed approaches can be integrated into everyday practices. Attendees will hear how diverse community partners in Northwestern Ontario are building a trauma-informed youth justice system with the support of CAMH’s Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) as part of the Systems Improvement through Service Collaboratives (SISC) initiative.

Join your fellow colleagues to:

  • Learn about the impacts of trauma including the links between early life adversities and justice system involvement

  • Understand the connections between trauma and the justice system and how they are experienced by marginalized populations

  • Explore how to implement trauma-informed practices in justice and related sectors to improve the justice system in Ontario
