Event description

Description

Although trauma occurs all around us, and the effects of it can be seen everywhere, including in our communities of faith, most people in ministry have not been well supported in their training to recognize, respond to, and facilitate the healing of psychological trauma. Further, there is much more to be known to prevent those communities of faith from becoming traumatizing themselves. This training event is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth presentation of psychological trauma: how it impacts the body and mind and how to recognize it as trauma, what communities of faith can do to support those who experience trauma, and some basic skills to support someone in the aftermath of a traumatic event (both immediately, and long-term).

*Please note, lunch and snacks are not covered in the registration fee and are the responsibility of participants.
