A series of three workshops with Jean and Amanda Edmiston, exploring the special stories behind every-day objects

About this event

Mother and daughter storytellers, Jean and Amanda Edmiston, will lead these three interactive workshops exploring the ‘treasured’ stories held in household, personal and found objects passed down through the generations.

Jean and Amanda will share their own inspiring stories, domestic folklore and family anecdotes, and will inspire you to create and curate your own magical, personal collection of stories and objects.

We invite you to bring along, or have in mind, a small everyday object that you love and to consider the story of why it is significant. Each workshop is different and stand-alone, and the July workshop will be family-friendly. Numbers are limited and booking is essential.

When you book this event, some of your personal information will be used for audience research purposes. We expect attendees to behave respectfully towards presenters, guests and other audience members. For full information about how the Library will hold and use your personal information, see our privacy pages, in particular our event booking privacy notice (’
