About this event

Do you wish you could name the trees in your community? Are you interested in learning more about trees in your neighbourhood?

Join CVC educators on a Tree Identification Walk to:

  • discover the diversity of trees in your neighbourhood
  • learn tips and tricks on how to identify common trees in your neighbourhood
  • learn to use books, apps and other simple tools to improve your skills and knowledge
  • enjoy fall colours with your neighbours

A light lunch will be provided at the end of the walk.

Each participant will receive a free copy of the University of Guelph Arboretum's field-tested biodiversity sheets for all ages filled with colourful images of common local species. While supplies last.

Accessibility note: The walk will take place on paved pathways and sidewalks. Some surfaces may be uneven and grassy.

In the event of cancellation due to severe weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
