Tree Loving Care Workshop

Open to local residents, students, groups, business employees, while space remains, this popular tree-ific event is fun, rewarding, and educational too!

Hosted by BurlingtonGreen and the City of Burlington Forestry Department, this year's TLC (Tree Loving Care) event will bring community members together to carry out some hands-on stewardship activities at a former tree planting location at Tuck Park on Spruce Ave, in Burlington. Together we will do a tree inventory, learn how to properly plant a tree, create and scatter some native seed balls, and more.

BONUS: the first 20 registrants will receive a free tree to take home and plant! Please note: one tree per family or group or participating business.

The TLC event requires advance registration and will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear long pants, layers and sturdy closed toed shoes or boots, and gloves. Face masks are encouraged and it is suggested you bring sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen.

No refreshments will be provided but you are welcome to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and your own snacks, if you wish.

Please check in at the BurlingtonGreen welcome tent at 9:00 am.

Agreeing to our Volunteer Participant Activity Informed Consent Waiver is a REQUIREMENT to register and participate at this event.

If you are under 18 of age please ensure you have parental / guardian permission and if you are under 13, adult supervision is required.
