Description

DeGroote Green, in partnership with Trees for Hamilton and McMaster’s Academic Sustainability Programs Office, is hosting a tree-planting event for the McMaster community with the purpose of supporting student leadership in environmental stewardship and community engagement. This experiential learning opportunity will enable students to plant 200 trees in the Hamilton community, demonstrating their leadership, community engagement and teamwork skills.

We will be meeting on Friday, October 20 at 10:20 AM in the DSB lobby and taking a school bus to Fifty Point Conservation Area. A pizza lunch will be provided during the event. We will be back on campus by 2:20 PM.

What to bring:
- Water bottle
- Clothes appropriate for the weather and muddy conditions
- Old runners/boots

Gloves and shovels will be provided.
