EDC (Everyday Carry) Knife workshop for Law Enforcement, Military and Security Professionals.
About this event
YGK Combatives will be hosting Chris Mandigma for the most popular combatives module from the TRICOM system.
Most Law Enforcement officers, military operators and security professionals carry at least one knife on their person when on duty. Also known as an EDC (Everyday Carry), the knife can perform a variety of utility functions especially as a last-ditch survival weapon or weapon retention tool. Unlike other weapons armed professionals and responsible citizens carry, most do not train in techniques and procedures for how to carry, deploy and use the knife as a last-ditch survival option.
This workshop will cover at minimum
- EDC types and selection for LE, Military and Security
- EDC placement
- Weapon retention
- Use of force integration
The TRICOM Duty Knife as a Backup Weapon module have been taught to Police, Military and Security units throughout Canada, the United States, Germany, England, Korea, Singapore, Brazil and the Philippines as well as numerous conferences such as NTOA. We have developed policy, procedure and training programs for Law Enforcement and Security Agencies.
