Truffles: Harvesting with Truffle Dogs
TABC Truffle Festival 2020 by the Truffle Association of BC
DATE Sunday, March 1, 2020
LOCATION Secret Location in South Langley, BC
AGENDA
1:00 – 4:00 PM Visit the only truffle orchard producing Bianchetto truffles (Tuber borchii) in British Columbia, in fact, in all of Canada. This truffle is native to the Mediterranean region but now cultivated in a very few orchards in North America. Participate in a real harvest with a trained truffle dog. Learn about cultivating Mediterranean truffles in BC by chatting with truffle experts. Join the truffle foraging teams John Kelly with Macchi, a Lagotto Romagno, and Brooke Page with Dexter and Denver, a pair of puggles, on this truffle foraging expedition in South Langley and taste some truffle hors-d'oeuvres.
All proceeds go to support the demonstration truffle orchard at UBC Farm
