When we desire to give to others, our motivation may vary between true sincerity to please others, to mere obligation. Moreover, the entire context of our giving is usually practiced with a completely worldly intention. On the other hand, if we develop a pure spiritual intention for giving, our action becomes a very powerful cause for attaining the fulfillment of all of our own and others wishes. In this way, our practice of giving will become continuous and not just seasonal or centered around special events. Those that practice in this way, easily experience lasting happiness.
