Description

Join us as we celebrate the half-century birthday of Tundra Books, featuring four of the beloved children’s imprint’s most magical authors.

Ben Clanton

Ben Clanton is an author and illustrator whose picture books include It Came in the Mail, Something Extraordinary, and Rex Wrecks It. A story-scribbler, picture-squiggler, book aficionado, child advocate, dragon-tamer (someday) and avid sock-wearer, he lives with his wife and son in Tacoma, Washington.

Cary Fagan

Cary Fagan has written several critically acclaimed books, including My Life Among the Apes, longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, and the children’s book Oy, Feh, So?, nominated for the Governor General’s Award. He lives in Toronto.

Susin Nielsen

Susin Nielsen got her start writing a spec script for the popular television series Degrassi Junior High. She’s also written many novels, including The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen, which counted the Governor General’s Literary Award and three Young Readers’ Choice Awards among its many accolades. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and son.

Esta Spalding

Esta Spalding is an award-winning screenwriter and producer for film and television, poet, novelist and children’s author. She grew up on a tropical island where she never wore shoes, and has since lived all over the world. When she’s not writing, she kayaks, bakes and assembles whale skeletons with her husband, a marine biologist.
