Night 3 at Tennessee is an impressive display of indie-rock/pop from local favourites Paint and Father Christmas to Montreal buzz band Po Lazarus, a special treat from Ottawa in Arms of the Girl, an opening set from the fantastic Brooklyn Doran and all the way from Saskatoon the awesome Prairie infused indie-rock of Autopilot! Expand for full info, set times etc:
Brooklyn Doran: http://twimfest.com/artists/brooklyn-doran/ at 8 PM:
One of the best songwriters in the city Brooklyn Doran marries nearly perfect folk with pop sensibilities and a live show that has quickly had her being invited to open some of the hottest shows in the city.
Arms of the Girl: (website tba) at 9 PM:
Paint: http://twimfest.com/artists/paint-2/ at 10 PM:
Paint make powerful, devastating, inspirational indie-rock music that has very few peers in the Canadian music scene. Recently they've released a new EP and accompanying film 11:11 to go with it. Already with a few barnburners under their belt at Tennessee they come back to do it up with TWiMFeST.
Autopilot: http://twimfest.com/artists/autopilot/ at 11 PM:
Autopilot are literally always touring. They were just at Canadian Music Week where we chatted about doing TWiMFeST in between they've been doing a bunch of American dates basically just in time to get home and tour their way back to Ontario again. Autopilot are masters of hook driven, perfectly planned out alternative-indie-rock. Simultaneously looking forward while paying homage to their influences at the same time.
Father Christmas: http://twimfest.com/artists/father-christmas/ at 12 AM:
Father Christmas in all of its incarnations has always had colossal potential and ambition but on their most recent release it seems they've reigned in the ambition right enough to make an absolutely terrific experimental indie-pop/folk record.
Po Lazarus: http://twimfest.com/artists/po-lazarus/ at 1 AM:
Rooted in folk, Po Lazarus a creating coyote guitar driven soaring sonic landscapes that you can feel from your toes to the top of your head. Worth extending your night for without a doubt.
