A two day, hands on class for experienced bakers looking to delve a bit deeper into the sourdough/whole grain realm.

About this Event

Hello friends! Here is the much requested partner to our beginner's sourdough class.

This casual workshop is intended for the home baker looking to expand their skills! Suitable for those who have attended one of our early sourdough classes as we will build upon the information given then. We encourage you to bring your sourdough starter to the class so we can all have a look! This class will be a great opportunity for you to come to us with any issues, obstacles and difficulties you've encountered in your sourdough baking journey.

In this two-day weekend class, you will learn how to:

Work with high hydration dough

Work with freshly milled whole grain flour

Learn how to use baker's percentages to formulate your own recipes

Learn how to sprout and malt grains to add flavour and nutrition to your bread

Learn how to use your discard starter in a sweet recipe

You will go home with:

5 LB (2KG) of freshly milled flour. FLOUR TBA

2 loaves of bread

Advanced Sourdough Recipe Package

Knowledge of the benefits of sourdough, the history of bread & how to use your discard starter

A full stomach :)
