Event description

Description

The Native Canadian Centre's ENAGB Youth Program just completed a one-year project that connected Indigenous youth with Knowledge Keepers to learn about contemporary and traditional roles of Two Spirited People in our communities.

We have developed a presentation based on the stories, teachings and information that was gathered from these circles. We will be presenting this information to the community through two hour presentations on September 20th-September 22nd.

Workshops will cover:
- Two Spirit Terminology
- Impact of Colonialism on Indigenous
Communities
- Traditional and Contemporary Roles and
Responsibilities of Two Spirit Community
- Contemporary Roles and Responsibilities
of Two Spirit Community Members
- Traditional Stories of Two Spirit People
- Ways to Support Indigenous 2SLGBTQ
