Event description

Description

If you’ve ever wanted to start writing the stories of your life, but have been uncertain where to start, this workshop is for you. Join Claudia Cornwall as she discusses the basics of memoir, including form, sources of content and legal and ethical issues. Then, put what you’ve learned to the test, by writing the story behind an object that has a lot of meaning for you. A ring, a photo, a painting, a tea cup, a trophy – each one of these items could house a fascinating story. If you like, and the object is portable, it might be fun to bring it along to the workshop. If it is not portable, you could bring a photo. The day will be rounded out with the opportunity to share your work, and a chance to ask any questions.

Please bring a laptop or note book and pen to this workshop.
