Come test your limits with CIM in our Adventure Challenge and make a difference in the lives of the nearly 3 million adults living with Type 1 diabetes throughout North America. Help redefine what life with Type 1 diabetes means.
Team members will work to raise funds for Connected in Motion, culminating in completing the North Coast Trail in Cape Scott Provincial Park, on northern Vancouver Island. Several fundraising options are available - Does fundraising sound scary? Don't worry! We have lots of tools, resources, and experience to help you out! You'll be lacing up your hiking books before you know it!
In order to have the biggest impact, each team member will be required to raise at least $2500. All donations made of over $25 will qualify for a tax receipt. That number may sound big, but we'll help make it less scary. We have lots of tools and tips and experiences to help you reach your goal - And remember, you can always aim higher! Once you've reached your fundraising goal, (almost) all of your trip expenses will be covered through the CIM's own fundraising efforts, through the help of our sponsors and partners. Those expenses include return flights from Vancouver, on-the-ground and ferry transportation in BC, all food and snacks, group camping gear, guides, permits, emergency equipment... the list goes on. There is a registration fee of $100 per hiker to reserve your spot once you've made the team.
