Description
Hosted by JUNO Award winning performer, songwriter and producer Ryan Guldemond this youth-targeted event is a variation on the traditional 'Songwriters' Circle' experience, focusing on an under-19 target audience. British Columbia's music scene is composed of a rich diversity of genre and idiom reflecting the cultural and creative communities across the province. To capture this diversity, the program employs a broader interpretation of 'songwriter' that includes the evolving tradition of the singer-songwriter, electronic music creation, creative-collaborative work with producers, music from Indigenous worldview, and composition in the contemporary/classical realm. Several BC artists will take the stage to share their music, their JUNO stories, and how they've come to find and establish their voice in creating music.
Joining Ryan Guldemond on stage will be:
• Classical Composer - Jordan Nobles
• EDM Producer and Vocalist - Nick Middleton (Funk Hunters) w/ Georgia Murray
• Singer Songwriter - FIONN
• Emerging Songwriter - Justin Pham
• Singer Songwriter - Ta'Kaiya Blaney w/ Aaron Ross (Boom Booms)
• Producer/Songwriter - Chin Injeti w/ Ty Waters
Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
