U-Start 2022: College of Arts and Science On-Campus Day, May 28
Event Information
About this event
On Saturday, May 28th, join us on the University of Saskatchewan (USask) main campus in Saskatoon to get to know the College of Arts and Science!
You will begin in one of two, large groups (choose either Arts 241 or Arts 146) to learn about the degrees and certificates you can pursue while in the College of Arts and Science, how to register in classes and which student supports are available to you as you work toward your goals.
Next, you will be randomly assigned to one of five mini mock-lectures led by one of our college’s award-winning faculty members, where you will get to experience what it's like to be in a university class!
Finally, you will attend a group advising session with Academic Advisors from the Undergraduate Student Office who will discuss some of the most important information new students need to know, including:
- Planning your first year of study
- Navigating degree requirements
- Picking your courses
- Tracking your progress
- Understanding important dates and deadlines
- Finding resources and supports
You are also encouraged to sign up for campus/residence tours offered before or after your time with us here in the college.
NOTE: Capacity is limited and we are not able to accommodate additional guests during this event. Additionally, if all spaces fill up, please know that we will record all sessions and will make them available via the College of Arts and Science U-Start Canvas space. If you have not received an invitation to join Canvas via PAWS yet, please send your NSID to erin.delathouwer@usask.ca.
All faculty, staff, students, and visitors will be required to wear approved masks in all indoor spaces on USask campuses.
Registration for this event closes on Friday, May 27 at 12:00pm NOON (CST).
