Event description

Description

Join the UBC Environmental Policy Association on Friday, January 26th for our first annual Mock Climate Conference. The event will kick-off with two guest speakers, Professor Peter Dauvergne and Professor Michael Byers, who will give their perspectives on international climate change policy and hold brief question and answer sessions. Afterwards, we will begin our mock climate conference where participants will work in groups to represent the interests of their assigned country in climate negotiations with the goal of coming to an international agreement by the end of the evening. Registration is $5 and includes a light snack and membership to the EPA. Please follow the instructions below to register with a group or as a “free-agent.” If you are unable to attend the full event, you are free to come for just the speaker or conference portion of the evening. The deadline to signup is January 22nd and spots are limited, so be sure to register soon!
