Description

This Fall, the ECS Montreal Student Chapter is hosting its second annual electrohemistry workshop at McGill University. The main outcome attendees can expect from this event is hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and characterizing Ultra Micro Electrodes (UMEs) typically employed as the working electode in scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). Participants will be invited into the Mauzeroll group's laboratory- A world renown laboratory known for in-house UME fabrication and SECM- for a two-day workshop. The event will include a talk from the expert herself, Prof. Janine Mauzeroll, cost-benefit analysis of in-house fabricated UMEs, an experimental design session where participants can tailor the UME electroactive material/size made during the workshop to her/his own research needs, and a full fabrication and characterization course led by experienced students.
