ABOUT BRUNO CAPINAN

Bruno Capinan is a Toronto-based, Brazilian-born singer and songwriter who fuses soft melodies, bossa-nova inspired rhythms, and an extravagant performance as an act of queer resistance. Born in Bahia, Brazil, Capinan has brought soft, provoking melodies to audiences in Japan, South America, Portugal, Canada and the United States. Gaining international recognition in 2016, with reviews in british newspaper The Guardian and France’s Libération, and two nominations for the prestigious APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) for his albums “Leão Alado Sem Juba” (2020) and “Real” (2019).

ABOUT JOÃO LEÃO

Toronto based Brazilian musician and producer, João Leão has creatively participated in over 30 albums of independent Brazilian artists and toured with two times Latin Grammy Award Winner singer/songwriter Céu. His first solo album, Bilis Negra (2018), explores an atmosphere of introspection and melancholy with laid back funky-bossa grooves, electric piano mantras and a touch of psychedelia.

Mosamba (aka Nego Moçambique) is a Brazilian Producer, Singer, Performer, Songwriter that creates electronic afrobeats. He has been in the e-music scene for 14 years, performing live acts of his own compositions ( Nego has played in big festivals as Sonar, SXSW and MUTEK ) and creating soundtracks for TV and movies. With two Albums released and a number of Singles influenced by MiamiBass, Electronic Afrobeats, Breakbeats, Jazz, Kuduro, Electrofunk, Dance Rock and Brazilian Music.
