A Stage for Learning Inspirationally

About this Event

Connect. Learn. Dream. Belong.

Welcome to UnBrand!

We are creating a community of story tellers. Stories are the best way to capture an audience, to sell, and to be remembered. Our speakers are thought leaders with more than inspiration; they will be taking us on a journey of learning as well.

Engage in the story. Embrace the knowledge. Enjoy the connections.

Be part of something more in our unique and growing community.

  • 7:10pm to 8:10pm: Our speakers share from the stage.

1. Carolyn Westlake – Anxiety is No Laughing Matter

Carolyn Westlake is a health and wellness coach and trained aromatouch therapist who helps families with special needs children to find peace and calm in the daily chaos of life. She has suffered with anxiety from a young age, although no formal diagnosis was made until a complete breakdown at 42. While trying to cope, raise children and pretend that all was okay, Carolyn developed a great love for laughter, and it was in those lighter moments when she could laugh at herself and her situation with those around her that she found the most healing. Anxiety no longer has the same control over Carolyn, as she found humour can bring her out of even the darkest moments.

2. Kim Basler – Returning Home to Me

Many of us grow up with messages that being thin equals beauty and that being "needed" equals worthiness. Striving every day to meet these demands can look like constant comparison and perfectionism -- and for some can lead to battles with mental health. After struggling with disordered eating, body image issues and lack of worth for 29 years of her life, Kim Basler’s spiritual awakening in 2016 brought her to her knees and she chose to surrender to the life that was no longer serving her. She has spent the last 3 years embarking on a journey of self awareness and rediscovering her deeper purpose. She lives each day committed to supporting her clients rediscovery of what success and happiness looks like for them and passionately shares her story from stages with full transparency to help others truly connect with the whispers from their heart.

3. Rano Burton – 50 Shades of Vulnerability

First generation Northern Ontario Punjabi dentist-storyteller; drenched in a strong family relationship paradigm, immersed in a plethora of opportunities to succeed, finds her true beauty birthed out of brokenness. Miscarriage, divorce and the shame of not finding success in the one area most important to her, family. This led Rano Burton down a path of desperation and loneliness, finding herself enmeshed in a cold, plastic world of corporate drones returning to their sterile home environments each night after work, hiding their pain behind the guise of materialism, unwilling to reach out and connect. She could not allow this to be her future self. Rano knew that she had a choice--to join the masses of the numb, lonely workaholics or risk her one precious heart with no guarantee of a return. Finally, broken and running to the bathroom in tears when colleagues ask, “So tell me about your husband and children?” Rano draws a line in the sand, deciding to no longer reduce herself or her story; to show up fully vulnerable each and everyday bathing her colleagues, her clients, her community and her friends in audacious, wholehearted love.

4. Linda MacKinnon – Champion of Change and Resilience

After going through a divorce from a 19 year relationship, blending a family of 6 children, and relocating to a new City all alone...Linda MacKinnon has learned not only how to survive, but how to thrive!! Having so much peace & Joy in her life today, Linda is a Transition Life coach, guiding others to find their own Destiny & Happiness. But how did she undergo this transition herself? What steps did she have to take to make this 180?

  • 8:10pm to 8:30pm: Our audience can mix and mingle with speakers and new friends.

*Please remember to settle up your bill before leaving.
