The Wheatland Crisis Society provides programs and services to women, men and children who are affected by family abuse. They are committed to a vision for the future where families are empowered to resolve conflict in peaceful and productive ways.

The WCS residential program served 280 people from April 2017 – March 2018. 157 adults and 124 children were turned away due to lack of capacity and were referred to other resources. 179 outreach clients were served either in the shelter offices or in donated community space in the towns of Three Hills and Drumheller. Transportation is often a barrier for accessing services and the outreach team utilizes all resources to erase this barrier.

The Wheatland Crisis Society was the proud recipient of an Alberta Human Services Inspiration Award in the area of family violence prevention. The nomination for this award came as a result of the society’s inclusive practices.

Tickets available at the door.
