Event description
Welcome to UNC 2020! This is conference is for Canadian undergraduate students to present their research in Neuroscience related areas.

About this Event

For the last three years, the Undergraduate Neuroscience Conference (UNC) has been spearheaded by the University of Alberta Neuroscience Students’ Association. This year, the fourth UNC will be hosted by the University of Lethbridge Neuroscience Club in conjunction with the University of Lethbridge Faculty of Arts and Science and the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience. The event will take place from August 15-16, 2020.

This event is not only targeted toward undergraduate neuroscience majors, but also students in other majors from across Canada that are engaged in neuroscience related research! Students in physiology, biology, pharmacology, psychology, chemistry, and any other programs connected with neuroscience are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Overall, our conference provides opportunities for undergraduate students to present their research through a poster and/or a speech presentation, and to also establish connections with other neuroscience undergraduates from around the country. Furthermore, we seek to expose undergraduates both to world-leading research via keynotes from professors including those from UAlberta, ULethbridge, UCalgary and other universities across Canada.

Our aim is one of broad impact, targeting the Alberta neuroscience community through outreach to University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge students, as well as the community at large through outreach to other schools around North America.
