Event Details

As Canada proceeds into the post-prohibition era, the need for accurate information and education is more important now than ever.

With all the incredible research coming out of the cannabis industry over the years and an exponential amount of interest towards cannabis as a medical tool for all types of illnesses and negative conditions, it's become pertinent that users have the best information at their fingertips.

As cannabis comes out the basements and into the lives of the everyday man or woman, we are having to be that much more scrupulous on differentiating between a healthy bud we can smoke, vape, convert into an edible, or turn into an extract vs. the poor quality cannabis that pervades the Canadian landscape. Luckily, things are changing in a positive direction and we have more science now then ever before in order to understand this mysterious and complex plant.

This industry is still dominated by much myth and lore and it's important that we are able to differentiate between the bullshit and truth. Attendees of Understanding Cannabis will be leaving with a solid knowledge base consisting of what properties and qualties to look for in order to achieve the desired effects.

We will be discussing:

  • The Strain Name Dilemma

  • A brief overview of Interpening

  • Differentiating between poor, medium, and high quality cannabis

  • Storage techniques
  • and more...

Ticket prices:

$10 - Community Price

$5 - Student Price

Location: TBA

This workshop will be lead by Tom Cobb, director of CSSDP UofT and cannabis enthusiast.
