Event description
Sometimes kiddos with autism can share some pretty BIG emotions! So lets explore WHY this happens, WHAT the triggers are, and HOW to help!

About this Event

RealWorldABA, is offering an affordable workshop for parents and professionals who are blessed to have children with autism in their lives. We have all felt , at least once, powerless when our kiddos are having a meltdown and no matter what we do it feels like there is no hope. This workshop's goal is to show you that hope exists when we understand why challenging behaviour occurs and what the triggers are. We will look at the functions behind behaviour and talk about evidence-based strategies that we can easily integrate into our kiddos lives.

During this workshop we will learn:

  1. How to identify triggers
  2. What are the functions of behaviour
  3. Evidence-based strategies
  4. Play-based supports
