Understanding Homelessness in the Forest City
Event Information
About this Event
Have you ever wondered why in a city with so many resources and supportive organizations there are still people sleeping and living on the street?
We did too!
So, we reached out to a number of local organizations and experts who know firsthand what challenges and experiences people face, that lead to them being without secure and suitable housing.
We also assumed that all experiences of homelessness are not the same so we reached out to organizations that work with different segments of the population to help us better understand not only the challenges they face, but how we can have a deeper sense of compassion and a willingness to act in effective, supportive and sustainable ways towards all people we find in these challenging situations.
We got lucky! We'll have 8 experts on our live panel who will answer your questions depending on their area of experience and knowledge.
We hope you'll leave this event with some of your questions answered, a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by others and the confidence to share your new knowledge and understanding with others.
