Description

Description:

Phil Dana, Director, Business Development with Dun & Bradstreet, will provide perspectives and insights into Master Data.

Master data sits at the center of all core business processes and applications. As such, high confidence, high-integrity master data that people can have confidence in is essential to support business processes to function well and depend on favorable outcomes to business decisions.

With the explosion of available data and the emergence of analytics as a key enabler to business decision making, organizations need to champion a clear definition of what information counts as master data within their organizations. When organizational master data is not governed for consistency and reuse, access costs will be higher than they need to be, and business outcome assurance and business process integrity will be harder to achieve.

The real master data challenge has little to do with technology, and instead is fundamentally dependent on the lack of organizational commitment and ability to define data standards and create a common set of attributes to improvements in business outcomes.

In this session, Mr. Dana will explore challenges, opportunities and value to mastering data with relevant business examples and approaches you can take back to your own organization.
