THE ONTARIO COUNCIL OF AGENCIES SERVING IMMIGRANTS (OCASI)
Is pleased to introduce and to offer its Member Agencies an Eight-week On-Line Facilitated Training on:
Understanding and Responding to Violence against Immigrant & Refugee Women
You will learn about the:
- Issues of Violence against Immigrant and Refugee Women
- Role of the Service Provider in Ensuring an Early Response
- Role of Service Provider in Understanding Systemic Responses to Violence against Women
- Intricacies of Community Development
- Application of Community Development to Violence against Immigrant and Refugee Women Issues
NOTE: Additionally, a lawyer as Guest Speaker will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the course material and case studies.
WHEN:October 1 – November 19th , 2013.
WHO: An experienced Facilitator will be there to assist you for the 8 weeks

To be successful in this course, you will need to commit to approximately 2-3 hours of learning each week. Your commitment is required, therefore, after registration is finalized, you must complete introductions by the second day of the course and participate actively over the 8 week period.
You will receive a certification of completion after the successful completion of the course and coursework.
