The City of Sault Ste. Marie (the City) has partnered with Garden River First Nation to deliver a free webinar regarding understanding solar energy opportunities. This aligns with Garden River’s recently updated Indigenous Community Energy Plan and the City’s Community Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan 2020 - 2030. Both plans prioritize renewable energy, including increasing solar energy. The 1-hour free webinar will feature local solar experts who provide an overview on the benefits of solar energy and current / future opportunities, how to move forward with your own solar project, funding opportunities and a highlight on Garden River's solar energy leadership.
