Understanding concussions is complicated. The many varying therapeutic approaches can be frustrating to comprehend. This 1 hour discussion will focus on what a TBI is, the physiological mechanisms that occur and what to look out for to prevent long term chronicity of concussion symptoms.

Attendees will Learn:

-What a concussion is

-What your brain and body does immediately after a head injury

-What you should do and not do right after an acute TBI

- 4 different case studies of people with TBI

This talk is for parents, coaches, teachers, and student athletes. Lecture notes will be provided.
