United Nations Interfaith Harmony Week
Event Information
About this event
In recognition of The United Nations Interfaith Harmony Week.
Join us for an evening exploring the unique aspects of the Brahma Kumaris faith community. This is an open house evening for those who would like to have a 'taster' of the sacred space and philosophy of the Brahma Kumaris.
This evening is part of a week long celebration of the multiple faith traditions in Halifax. (see events at: http://ihhalifax.ca/home/ )
The World Interfaith Harmony Week was first proposed at the UN General Assembly on September 23, 2010 by H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The World Interfaith Harmony Week is about ‘Love of the Good, and Love of the Neighbour’. This formula includes all people of goodwill. It includes those of other faiths, and those with no faith.
Halifax won 3rd prize internationally in 2016 for our innovative approach to open Sacred Spaces around the city for visits and to learn more about each faith tradition.
