Heartland Challenge Bus Tour- Thursday, June 27, 2019

To kick off the 2019 Heartland Challenge with United Way, the Heartland Challenge committee has organized an Agency Bus Tour for your organization to participate in. The bus tour is open to all staff in your organization (pending approval from your leadership).

The tour is designed to learn about United Way’s funded programs provided at agency partners. We have a maximum capacity of 50 spots for the tour so register ASAP!! We hope you can join us in this exciting opportunity.

8:00am: Park and Ride from Families First Fort Saskatchewan (9901-90 St)

8:30am: Bus Departs for Tour

9:15am Boyle Street Tour: Boyle Street Community Services has been working in the inner city of Edmonton since 1971 to serve, support, and empower people to take control of their lives and escape the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

10:15am Bissell Tour: Everything Bissell Centre does is grounded in its vision of eliminating poverty. Empowering people to move from poverty to cultural, social and economic prosperity.

11:15am Operation Friendship Seniors Society Coffee and Donuts: Operation Friendship Seniors Society is a non-profit society that provides community-based preventative social services to the seniors of Edmonton’s inner city. They provide safe, affordable non-institutional housing options.

11:45am: Bus Departs back to Families First and lunch for attendees will be provided!!
