Unity of Calgary Sunday Gathering
Event Information
About this Event
It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we can announce that we have been working very hard to have our new spiritual home ready for our first total in person live service Sunday October 18th .
The Board is amazed and grateful for all the work that has been performed by our angelic volunteers to bring us to this day. The road to arrive here required us to find our new home, which we accomplished with flying colours and to persevere through the very constraining and difficult times presented to us, and everyone, in facing the pandemic. This wonderful example of teamwork has without a doubt inspired those of us who have witnessed it firsthand. We thank all of you, from those who have continued to support us, and to those who give their time, talents and resources to keep Unity as a vibrant spiritual community in Calgary.
We are not deterred by the current public health environment and know that many of you are excited to be together again. However, with our official opening on Sunday, October 18th, we must make you aware of some considerations we need to take into account, and some specific guidelines imposed by the government:
• You must reserve a seat by sending a RSVP each week if you will attend in person (see RSVP link below). Although we have a limited number of seats, we expect that will will have space to accommodate all those who wish to be in person, at least initially. Reservations for a spot will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
• If you’re sick or not feeling well, please stay home, and cancel your reservation.
• The City of Calgary by-law mandates masks to be worn indoors, except by those with medical exemptions and children under 2 (see the link to the bylaw below). Unfortunately that means masks are required during the service, in the hallways and bathrooms. (We incorrectly stated last week that masks could be removed when you are sitting down.) Please bring your own mask.
• We will have surface cleaning materials, and hand sanitizer available.
• Chairs will be placed individually and in groups as appropriate.
• According to government guidelines, only the band can sing.
• We trust you to be personally responsible for your own comfort.
• Please be sure to arrive by 10:15 at the latest so we can arrange chairs and have everyone settled before we begin the live broadcast.
