In this one day course we will explore the major renewable energy systems: the technologies, applications, constraints, economics, integration and installation.
This course is based on the use of NrCan's RETScreen analysis tool.
In this course we will examine:
- Solar thermal hot water, solar air heating, solar PV, concentrating solar technologies, geothermal, wind, solar air
- Major technologies
- Market reviews including typical government support programs
- Installation including regulatory and system connection issues
- Building mounted and stand-alone systems (e.g. ground mounted tracking systems, building mounted wind turbines)
- Metering, maintenance
- Lifecycle analysis
