uOttawa/NanoCanada: 2D Materials, Nano and Quantum Technologies
Date and time
Description
uOttawa and NanoCanada invite you to join us for the Next Big Wave - 2D Materials, Nano and Quantum Technologies
May 17, 2019
Location: uOttawa Kanata North office, 535 Leggett Drive, suite 200
Time: 11:45 am – 1:00 pm
‘Nature isn't classical, dammit, and if you want to make a simulation of nature, you'd better make it quantum mechanical, and by golly it's a wonderful problem, because it doesn't look so easy’
Richard Feynman
While we have witnessed the commercialization of many quantum devices (e.g. Quantum Dot lasers, high electron mobility transistors, etc.) enabled by advanced materials and fabrication at the nanoscale, the full potential of quantum information has yet to be realized.
If you are intrigued by the quantum future, come for lunch and hear how four uOttawa researchers are preparing for the next big wave in technology.
