Overview

Come on down to Elevated this Fall/Winter season to make a pair of toasty wool mittens out of up-cycled sweater material!

As the months grow colder and the harsh Canadian winter soon approaches who wouldn't want a warm pair of mittens to keep your fingers toasty?

In this workshop led by one of our artists Leah, you'll learn how to make a pair of mittens utilizing material from wool sweaters no longer fit for wearing but still fit for crafting!

You’ll learn:

  • How to select, measure and cut wool pieces from up-cycled sweaters
  • Sewing techniques utilising an embroidery needle
  • How to sew pieces together using craft cord, and how to add a lining if you wish

You’ll make:

  • A pair of cozy wool mittens ready for the winter months!
