About this Event
Through video-taped interviews, you will hear from industry experts as they discuss important technical concerns and client-facing issues impacting financial planning today. Following each interview, you will participate in a group discussion activity to reinforce an area or areas addressed during the interview.
Interviews focus on: Market Uncertainty and Client Behaviour Strategies for Clients who are Retired or Planning for Retirement Estate Planning for Small Business Owners The Emotionally Intelligent Advisor
Participants earn six (6) CE credits (includes 1 ethics) for full-day participation for the National Webinar, and an additional six (6) CE credits (includes 1 ethics for Module 4) upon successful completion of the Advanced Learning Modules.
Update 2020 is a full-day facilitated National Webinar that includes four video-taped interviews with industry experts followed by group discussion activities for each interview. Individuals who register for an Update 2020 National Webinar also receive access to the Advanced Learning Modules available online(please allow 24-48 hours for your access to be available through your dashboard).
Update 2020 is available for Advocis members for $125 + applicable tax and non-members for $200 + applicable tax.Use your Advocis Membership ID to trigger the promotional discount in Eventbrite
Please Note: Individuals who register for an Update 2020 chapter run seminar or National Webinar also receive access to the Advanced Learning Modules available online (please allow 24-48 hours for your access to be available through your dashboard).
CE Requirements
This event will have CE credits available. To be eligible to earn any CE from this event, you must:
- Enter your 7-digit Advocis ID on the registration form. No CE will be provided if this is inaccurate. If you have forgotten your Advocis ID, please contact Member Services 1-877-773-6765 or info@advocis.ca
- Attend the webinar using the email address entered on your registration form
- If you do not have an Advocis ID number please reach out to member services at info@advocis.ca to be assigned an ID number in order to receive your CE credits If you would like to be extended the member pricing, please join.
Update 2020 National Webinar Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Deadline: November 25, 2020
Individuals unable to attend the Update 2020 National Webinar can cancel up to November 25, 2020 to qualify for a partial refund. No refunds for cancellations received after November 25, 2020.
Partial Refund for Cancellations Received on or Prior to November 25, 2020:
Registration for the National Webinar includes access to the online Advanced Learning Modules, which cannot be cancelled. The Bundle Registration Fee for the Advanced Learning Modules is $75 (plus taxes) for members and $120 (plus taxes) for non-members.
Individuals who cancel their webinar registration on or prior to November 25, 2020 will still have access to the Advanced Learning Modules and will receive a partial refund as follows:
- Members: $50 ($125 minus $75 to cover for Advanced Learning Modules bundle registration)
- Non-Members: $80 ($200 minus $120 to cover for Advanced Learning Modules bundle registration
