Event description

Description

The event is a meeting with Michael Coteau, the Minister responsible for the Anti-Racism Directorate, to adress systemic anti-Black racism in the Ontario Public Service and in Ontario. Despite the creation of the Anti-Racism Directorate in February 2016, Black workers are still subjected to excessive micro and macroagressions in the workplace, which is affecting their mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

The meeting is a call to the Ontario Government to take the proactive and substantive action necessary to eliminate racism in the Ontario Public Service and all workplaces and spaces.

The meeting is an act of solidarity among all workers, to hold the Ontario Government accountable in ensuring that workplaces are free from racism, sexism and all "isms" that create an unproductive and unsafe work enviornment.

We are stronger together! Please join us in helping to create stronger and healthy workplaces, where all workers are treated with respect and dignity and are given the opportunity to realize their full potential.

In Solidarity!
