Using Asset-Based Assessment to Support Math Learning for All Students: Session #2
Join Laura Masterson in this follow-up workshop where we will continue to explore how valuing progress over performance in grades 5-9 math classrooms can build students' understanding, autonomy, and confidence in their math learning. In the morning we will look at some of the big questions around concept-based progressions, such as how they align with system-wide practices like standardized testing and reporting curricular achievement, and how to integrate student adaptations and modifications. The afternoon's focus will be on designing levelled assessment tasks and tracking student progress, but will also serve as time for educators to continue collaborating on their levelled continuums and cycling/spiralling plans.
Although this is workshop #2, it is open to new participants, so if you missed the first one that's not a problem. Sign up and join the exploration of Asset-Based Assessment!
Presenter: Laura Masterson
Cost: $60 (lunch is included)
