Using Social Media to Promote Events
Does your business or organization or community group regularly hold events? Many Social Media platforms are superior at spreading the word, increasing the attendance, or donations or contributions.
This session goes far beyond just describing how to use the Event App on Facebook (although we will cover that briefly). There are many other effective ways to get your message spread throught the community and beyond using social media. And most of the tips and suggestions are at either a low cost or free!
We'll talk about specific ways to promote Cowichan Events.
This session anticipates that attendees already use either Facebook, or Twitter, or LinkedIn or all for their business.
This session is one of three offered by Social Media is Simple on various Social Media topics during June 2013. These sessions will be held at the refurbished Silverbridge Inn & Conference Centre. Coffee/tea/breakfast for this session can be purchased at the renowed The Old Fork Restaurant at the Inn.
