First Degree is the foundation to beginning a practice in Usui Reiki Energy Medicine. Previous experience is not required and this is an excellent way to begin. Reiki medicine is an integration of the practice into your own life and spirit, leading to treating other people, plants, animals and the world as a whole!

In Reiki Level One you will learn:

- The founding principles and history of Reiki

- The code and importance of ethics and what they are

- How to open up sacred space and setting intention to perform the work

- Learn grounding techniques

- Delve into the Chakras, their location and how they influence the mind, body and spirit

- Comprehensive understanding of the Hara Line and its interlinking components

- First Degree Usui Reiki Treatment techniques

- Begin to develop sensory abilities and connect into your higher self

- Receive first attunement from Reiki Master, activating the hand chakras and the practitioners field to conduct Reiki healing medicine

- Start to build your foundation as a Reiki practitioner by connecting to the self through guided meditations that will deepen and strengthen your practice in profound ways

Understand that Reiki is so much more than the ability to treat others. Through the teachings and attunements, the practice will truly integrate into your being. Upon completion, you are given permission to attend Healing Circle. A gathering of energy medicine practitioners that meet on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, to treat and learn from one another. This is an opportunity to practice in a sacred space and gain experience in treating a variety of different people with different backgrounds while also recieving a treatment. Healing Circle deeply amplifies the experiential training of practitioners.

***The treatments conducted in Healing Circle will count towards the practicum experience required between levels as set out by Heather Joy Creation.
