Value Analysis in the Petroleum Industry

Abstract of Presentation

Mr. Snodgrass will present the application of value management in various industrial application including mining, refinery, oil sand and other industrial applications. The presentation will present why to use value management, how to implement value management and various case studies  

 

Presenter’s Bio

Mr. Snodgrass is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Capital Projects group, leading the Independent Value Enginereing Practice in Canada.

Mr. Snodgrass has a diverse and extensive background of more than 25 years in Operations, Sales and Project / Program Management, and Construction Management of Environmental, Energy (including Alternative Energy), Utilities and Infrastructure projects.  He has worked for 17 years as an owner/contractor and 9 years as a consultant performing EPC and EPCM services in all cost models, including reimbursable, unit rate, lump sum and fixed fee.  He has had direct day-to-day operational Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for more than 375 employees and $120 million annual revenue as well as responsibility for more than 650 craft labor personnel.  The Total Installed Cost of these projects is in excess of $10 billion.  Mr. Snodgrass recently oversaw the EPCM of a $1.3 billion TIC Utilities and Infrastructure project for a Greenfield Refinery in North America.  Mr. Snodgrass is currently the Managing Director of the Deloitte, LLP – Energy & Resource - Capital Projects group located in Calgary, AB.  His consulting service include Governance/Process Flow, Litigation/Claims Support, Project and Program Cost and Schedule reviews, Reorganization/Restructuring Support, Program Management Office (PMO) support, Operations Excellence and Value Engineering for major Oil & Gas, Mining and Water / Waste Water clients in the Americas.
